This striking black male is one of two polydactyls in a well-balanced litter of five. He carries a COI of 13.5 percent and is part of our second generation of Marwood Maine Coons. His structure, temperament, and pedigree position him as a promising addition to a serious breeding program.
 
On his sire’s side, he descends from Primevillecoons Yahont, a black smoke male known for producing large, well-structured kittens with deep contrast and substance. Yahont has sired over eight litters, consistently contributing size, stability, and excellent type. His health record is clean and reliable, with no known issues over the course of his breeding career.
 
The dam, Marwood Meadowlark, is a first-generation Marwood queen with a calm and affectionate nature. She has excellent profile and type for a female, and her offspring show good size and strong bone. Meadowlark herself comes from a polydactyl line where every kitten in her litter was patty pawed, and her sire also produced only polydactyls across multiple litters.
 
Structurally, this male shows a promising early profile. His nose bridge already presents a gentle concave curve, and his forehead transitions smoothly into the bridge without abrupt changes. The muzzle is developing width and strength appropriate for his age, and the chin appears well-aligned. These are all encouraging signs that his adult profile will mature to meet breed standard expectations.
 
Both parents have received a “Good” rating on hips, and the entire litter shows excellent early growth and uniform development. This male is confident, well-socialized, and easy to handle.
 
Profile & Head Structure:
Storm Shadow carries a very strong, masculine profile for his age. The forehead slopes gracefully with a slight convex curve into a short, straight nose bridge. His stop is well-defined but natural, no sharp break. The muzzle already shows excellent width and depth, creating that broad, square frame Maine Coons are prized for.
 
Chin & Bite:
He’s showing a deep chin with perfect vertical alignment to the nose tip, a key indicator of solid skeletal and bite balance. This strength, combined with his muzzle width, gives him that developing “lion-like” face.
 
Ears & Expression:
Ears are large, upright, and well-furnished, with good width at the base. Their placement leans slightly outward (as is correct at this age) and should settle beautifully as his head broadens. The expression is intelligent and confident, classic Yahont, with a slightly serious look that gives him strong male presence.

Rich jet black coat with a glossy finish, dense, straight, and already showing early fullness around the neck and chest. His coat quality is superb for his age, and his texture suggests it’ll mature into that thick, luxurious “mane” style coat.
