At the time of writing this we are one of three Catteries in all of Canada to be breeding for this rare genetic trait.  Not many Canadian Catteries have decided to bring this feature into their cattery, however when I first saw a blue eyed Maine Coon I knew that one day I would have one in my Cattery.

All of our Blue Eyed Maine Coons are registered with TICA.

We are the only Cattery in all of Western Canada to be breeding for the Blue eyed trait in Maine Coons. You will find many catteries that have beautiful cats however you will not find another breeding these stunning blue eyed kittens anywhere else in western Canada.  They are rare, striking and unique in any coat color, I am proud to bring this remarkable trait to our country.

AS OF 2025 I AM PROUD TO SAY THAT I AM NO LONGER THE ONLY BLUE EYED BREEDER IN WESTERN CANADA.

Though blue eyes are common in breeds like Siamese or Ragdolls, they are extremely rare in Maine Coons—especially in non‑white coat colors. Thanks to careful selective breeding, Marwood has blue eyes in a wide variety of coat patterns—tabbies, shaded, solids, and torties—not just the typical white .

This genetic mutation is not only striking—it adds a layer of individuality and grace, making each kitten a true work of art.
